Silver State AP* Summer Institute



Economics-Macro & Micro: Jacob Clifford

Jacob Clifford teaches AP* microeconomics and macroeconomics at San Pasqual High School in Escondido, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching credential from California State University, San Marcos and a Masters degree in Economic Education from the University of Delaware.

In addition to being an AP exam reader, Jacob leads College Board workshops and other professional development trainings throughout the country. Jacob has presented at the AP Annual Conference and worked as a consultant for McGraw-Hill. He is also the creator of a popular skill-building program called AP* Boot Camp.

Jacob has developed one of the largest and most successful AP Economics programs in California. He is dedicated to the idea that Advanced Placement must be accessible to all students and stresses the benefits of diversity in AP enrollment. Jacob has served as the social science common assessment coordinator for the Escondido Union High School District and the chairman of the social science department.

Jacob brings to the institute a wealth of teaching strategies, hands-on activities, engaging simulations, and digital resources. Participants will leave this institute with all the resources they need to create or supplement an exciting AP course.
